Accessibility statement
1) Introduction
We are delighted that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest.
Below you will find information on the accessible usability of our online offering.
We will inform you about
- what offering and functions you can expect on this website,
- how you can use this offering and its functions,
- what options are available to you for accessible use, and
- which authority is responsible for monitoring accessibility on this website.
2) Offering and Functions of this Website
This website is an online shop for the sale of goods and digital content.
Goods are defined here as physical objects.
Digital content, on the other hand, refers to data or datasets created and provided in digital form.
Products are presented to you here, which can be added to an electronic shopping cart and then obligatorily ordered and paid for.
This website has a header and a footer menu.
In the header menu, the products we sell are listed by category and can be accessed individually from there.
Each product is described with further information on its essential characteristics, scope of delivery, and total price on its own detail page. From there, it can be added to the electronic shopping cart.
Additionally, the electronic shopping cart can be visited via the header menu as soon as you have added at least one product to it. From this shopping cart, the electronic ordering process can be initiated and completed.
In the footer menu, you will find links to our imprint with our contact information, as well as information on the legal basis of our online offering, delivery and payment options, and links to other helpful service pages.
3) Explanations on the Use of the Offering and Functions
3.1 Virtual buttons
This website can be operated using virtual buttons.
3.2 Home, overview, and detail pages
On the home page, you will find a selection of offered products in the central page area. By interacting with a product presentation, you will reach the product detail page.
In the header menu, you can navigate between the different product categories.
After selecting a category, you will arrive at an overview page where all products of that category are displayed.
By interacting with a product presentation on the overview page, you will again reach the product detail page.
In addition to all essential information about the product and the total price, the product detail pages may contain a quantity selection element and an "Add to Cart" button.
If available, the desired order quantity can be set via the quantity selection.
3.3 Electronic shopping cart
By pressing the "Add to Cart" button, you add the product (in the selected quantity, if applicable) to the electronic shopping cart.
This electronic shopping cart can be accessed at any time via the header menu.
Here you can first review the added products. Products can be removed again or, if applicable, changed in quantity via corresponding buttons.
3.4 Electronic ordering process
After reviewing, you can complete the electronic ordering process by interacting with the corresponding buttons.
First, you will be asked to enter your contact details (at least name, email address, and delivery/billing address) via an input mask.
Then, in the next step, you can select from the available delivery or service options.
Finally, you can choose one of the available payment methods, enter the necessary payment details, and complete the order.
The binding submission of the order only occurs when the designated button on the final order page is pressed. It is labeled "Buy," "Buy now," "Order with obligation to pay," or another unambiguous wording.
Before pressing this order button, you can navigate back to previous steps at any time via your browser's "Back" button and/or cancel the ordering process at any time.
If you have chosen to pay with an online payment method, you will be redirected from the final order page to the payment provider's system to make the payment there.
4) Legal Requirements for Accessibility
This website, as an online shop, is considered a "service in electronic commerce" and features electronic ordering and payment options.
It is subject to specific legal accessibility requirements.
In general, this website must provide functions and procedures that are tailored to the needs of people with disabilities and enable operation with digital aids.
The online shop functions of this website must therefore be
- perceivable
- operable
- understandable and
- robust
in their design.
Perceivability means that the information and components of the online shop are presented in such a way that they are easily perceivable for all users.
Operability requires that the functions of the online shop can also be used by users with mobility or cognitive impairments.
Understandability requires that the information and functions of the online shop are logically structured, easily recognizable, and unambiguously labeled.
Finally, robustness requires that the content and functions of the online shop can be used reliably and without restrictions, even when users employ digital aids.
If products are for sale in the online shop that are subject to their own accessibility requirements, information on accessible use must be provided for such products – where available.
5) Available Aids for Accessible Use
This website meets accessibility requirements through the following measures:
- Alt-text for images: Images in the online shop are equipped with alternative texts that provide a brief description of the image and can be processed by screen readers.
- Adjustable font size: The font size of the page content can be adjusted via settings to make it optimally perceivable for every user.
- Adjustable color contrast: The color contrast of the page elements is adjustable. It can be increased and decreased.
- Operability via mouse and keyboard: The online shop functions can be operated both via mouse and keyboard. The mouse pointer can be moved and activated in the online shop using the keyboard's control keys.
- Browser-independent page output: Content and functions of this website are available in identical arrangement, alignment, and resolution regardless of the browser used.
- Sufficient spacing between characters: Characters are displayed with sufficient spacing from each other to not impair readability.
- Compatibility with screen readers: The content of the online shop is compatible with all common screen readers and can be read and processed by them.
- Responsive design (adaptation to different screen sizes): The dimensions of the content, elements, and functions automatically adapt to the size of the screen used.
- Scalability (visibility when magnified): Page elements and content remain readable in high resolution even when magnified.
- Strong color contrast: A strong contrast between the colors of characters and backgrounds is preset to ensure optimal visibility of the page elements.
- Text hints for empty input fields: If mandatory input fields are not filled, a text hint is provided in addition to a colored marker. This hint clarifies what information is missing in the input field.
- Subtitles in videos: Embedded videos are equipped with subtitles to enable unrestricted playback for the hearing impaired.
